In the new document, I would have the cursor in the location where I wanted to add the citation, click on (or use a shortcut for) the "Add/Edit Citation" button. The old document was open to the bibliography so I could the name of the references. These documents were side by side in "Full Screen" view on my Mac. I had an old document with numbered, in text, zotero citations open alongside a new document that I was adding number zotero citations to. MacOS is 12.4Īfter a bit of trouble shooting and looking more closely, I'm starting to wonder again if it is somehow related to having two word documents open at the same time. Has anyone else had issues with multiple Word documents open at once? I'm running Word for Mac 16.62.1 (Office 365) & Zotero 6.0.11. One thought that did occur to me was whether or not having more than more Word document open could trigger these errors, especially if those other word documents include some of the same citations?
It's been frustrating trying to trouble shoot it as the error messages don't always appear even if I (as far as I can tell) repeat the same steps. I've recently been getting some error messages when trying to insert new citations into a Word document.
